NEWRY, Maine ??” The Shipyard Brewing Co. of Maine will open and operate a restaurant at Sunday River this coming season. The new establishment, Shipyard Brew Haus, will be located at the White Cap base lodge.

The Portland-based brewing company has operated a similar restaurant at Sugarloaf/USA, another American Skiing Company, for nine years, and previously Sunday River operated a Shipyard Brew Haus bar at the Barker lodge. The new restaurant at Sunday River will feature a full pub-style menu with appetizers such as nachos and fried calamari, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a full array of entrees such as surf & turf, lamb kabob, cedar plank salmon and sesame tuna.

A wide selection of beer will be on tap, including the full line of Shipyard ales.

In addition to the new restaurant, the Shipyard Brewing Co. will operate the nightclub at White Cap Lodge during events that are part of the Budweiser Rocks the River Concert Series. The nightclub, formerly known as Tango Mary’s, will operate solely for the concert series. The line up will be announced later this fall.

Other restaurants at Sunday River include Legends at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel and Sliders at the Jordan Grand Resort Hotel. Each hotel also has a caf?В©, Moonstruck and Northern Lights, respectively, for casual breakfast and lunches. There are also food courts at Barker, South Ridge and North Peak lodges, and Foggy’s Goggle restaurant and bar at South Ridge.

Besides the on-mountain eateries, there are dozens of restaurants from casual to fine dining along the Sunday River access road and Bethel village, including pub food, Japanese/sushi, Chinese, Italian, vegan and vegetarian, and traditional New England entrees.
