Killington Grand Resort Hotel Completes Renovation
Slopeside Hotel Updates 200 Guest Rooms and Suites with Fresh, Modern Style
KILLINGTON, Vt. (February 1, 2013) – Vermont’s Killington Grand Resort Hotel, a condominium-hotel managed by Killington Resort, completed a multi-million dollar renovation of 200 guest rooms and suites, to further establish itself as a premier resort hotel.
“The Killington Grand Resort Hotel needed a facelift,” stated Scott Spelfogel, president of the Killington Grand Homeowners Association. “Our goal was to create a heightened Vermont experience and provide a tranquil retreat for the unit owners and all guests of the Grand. Being surrounded by the Green Mountains, it made sense to use nature as our design inspiration for the guestrooms and suites.”
The Killington Grand Homeowners Association invested $2.5 million in renovations. Guestroom remodeling included a complete overhaul of the bathrooms with architectural renovations, new fixtures and finishes, and updated plumbing fixtures that are both modern and water-efficient. Additionally, new finishes and furnishings were added to the bedrooms and living spaces, new appliances, finishes and hardware in the kitchens; and new lighting fixtures were updated in all units for ultimate relaxation and comfort.
The Killington Grand Resort Hotel is the only slopeside hotel at Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard resort in Eastern North America, and features a short walk to the Snowshed lifts giving guests access to over 70 miles of skiable terrain for all ability levels. The hotel boasts hotel rooms, studios, one, two and three bedroom suites and penthouses, as well as conference and meeting space, Ovations Restaurant and Rendezvous Bar, the Grand Spa, a fitness center as well as a year-round heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub.
“Initial guest feedback has been extremely positive,” stated Scott Harrison director of hospitality for Killington Resort. “Our diverse clientele ranges from skiers and snowboarders to business travelers and wedding guests, and they are truly impressed with the recent renovations of the Grand.”
