Loon Mountain to Open Friday, Nov. 25

LINCOLN, New Hampshire ??” The snow guns have been blasting away and Loon Mountain is preparing to kick off the 05/06 ski season starting Friday, November 25 at 9 a.m. “Gravity’s Playground” will open for skiing and riding on five trails accessed by the Gondola, East Basin lift, and Sarsaparilla Handle Tow. Early-season lift tickets are $48 for adults, $42 for teens and $32 for youth.

“With snow scheduled later in the week and our guns blasting away day and night, I’m confident we will have remarkable conditions on opening day” says Director of Skiing Operations Ralph Lewis.

Guests will have the opportunity to ski or ride on advanced intermediate terrain on Bear Claw Extension, Exodus, Upper Picked Rock, Grand Junction, and The Link. In addition, lessons will be available for beginner skier and riders on the Sarsaparilla handle tow and includes a one hour private lesson, lift ticket and rentals for only $89.

Opening weekend events include; inflatable turkeys soaring through the air into pools of cranberry sauce at the Turkey Triathlon beginning at noon, and an under-the-light rail jam and movie premier beginning at 5.

The season pass office will be closed Thanksgiving day and will re-open Friday morning at 8 a.m.
