Gore Mountain Offers Fantastic Early Season
NORTH CREEK, New York ??” Gore Mountain opened “Lies” today, a premier double black-diamond trail located on the summit. A host of new grooming and snowmaking improvements have contributed to outstanding trail conditions for early season guests. Snowmaking efforts are currently concentrated on “Showcase” and “Twister,” both planned to open this weekend, and there is terrain open for all ability levels.
Freestyle skiers and riders will enjoy this weekend’s offerings, as Gore Mountain is scheduled to open its lift-serviced “Gully Terrain Park.” This year’s new and improved terrain park design features tabletops, an A-frame rail, battleship rails, and more.
Saturday’s Big Air Contest on “The Arena” at 1pm will offer both participants and spectators base area excitment! Those who enter will be judged on style, height, landing, and overall performance. A new pair of skis and new snowboard will be awarded to top competitors. Registration will take place Saturday 9am-12:30pm, and the entry fee is $10 per person.
Riders should mark their calendar for Tuesday and Wednesday, December 27-28 for a two-day Burton Snowboards Demo.
