BARTLETT, New Hampshire ??” Friday, December 16 was Free Day at Attitash and guests appreciated a double dose of kindness – one free lift ticket and 10+ inches of fresh powder as they enjoyed skiing and riding on both Attitash and Bear Peak.

“It’s like February skiing – unbelievable, unreal, sweet…” said Joe Keleman of Bartlett, N.H.

With predictions of a nor’easter and excitement generated from last week’s snowfall there was no stopping skiers and riders from heading to the slopes. Guests braved bad road conditions from various New England states to get in on the rare combination of free skiing and fresh powder at Attitash.

Ethan Stowe and Lisa Gamache started out their day driving in the rain from Lowell, Massachusetts to head up to the White Mountains. “Attitash is one of my favorite mountains and today is great – Free and Powder,” stated Ethan.

Traveling from Danville, Vermont Susanne Muller and her children Quinton, Madeline and Reuben liked the idea of skiing for free. “Free Day has been a wonderful opportunity for us to experience Attitash and it is stress free. We have skied all over the Northeast and we think Attitash will be a nice place to come back to with our friends,” said Susanne.

Ten-year-old Reuben was all smiles with little time to talk as he danced impatiently wanting to get back on the snow, “I like the powder because everybody bunched it up and now there is all kinds of moguls to ski.”

As of press time, the slopeside Attitash Grand Summit Hotel has space available for the current weekend and next week. Guests are urged to visit www.attitash.com or call (800) 223-SNOW.
