Dan Egan To Teach Special All-Terrain Ski Camps at Wildcat Mountain

PINKHAM NOTCH, New Hampshire ??” Wildcat Mountain is pleased to announce that Dan Egan, professional extreme skiing pioneer will hold special all-terrain ski camps at Wildcat this season. Ski Camps are now scheduled for December 27th through December 30th. Egan??в„ўs camps are designed for the intermediate level skier who is ready to move up to the next level ??“ he calls them “rut-busters.” Separate camps are scheduled for groups of adults (ages 18 and up), teens (13-17), and juniors (8-12). As “extreme skiing” emerged as a daredevil sport, Dan Egan built a reputation as one of the premier adventure skiers in the world. Warren Miller, an international award-winning sports film producer for over 50 years, used Egan in 12 of his films, and mostly recently appointed Egan to be his Eastern promotions director for his most recent film “Higher Ground.” Egan has become an award-winning producer in his own right, and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards. He has also authored two books, “All-Terrain Skiing” (1996) and “Courage to Persevere” (with Bill Fallon, 1999). Egan continues in his fifth season hosting his one-hour “Wild World of Winter” magazine-style TV show on MyTV (WZMY) in the Boston/southern New Hampshire markets (Sat. 7pm, Mon. 10pm), and has expanded this season to Maine??в„ўs WB (Sat. 8pm). This program brings together a regular gang of outdoor winter sports stars, including Asia Magriby, Charlotte Moats, John Egan, and Kevin Corcoran. Regular segments cover gear, tips, family activities on the snow, and winter adventure. Egan leads and participates in adventure ski trips in North America, South America, Europe and the Artic.

In lead up to the 2006 Olympics in February, Egan hosts a two-hour Winter Sports Spectacular from Wildcat Mountain called “On the Edge” on Boston??в„ўs UPN. The show airs on Sunday, December 18th from 2-4pm.
