Cannon Mountain Kids’ Events

FRANCONIA NOTCH, New Hampshire ??” New Hampshire’s Cannon Mountain Ski Area focuses on fun for kids ages 12 and under with its free Kids’ Events throughout the season. Taking place in the Brookside Learning area, these special events will encourage kids to play games, have fun, and win prizes, donated by Coca-Cola and Cannon. Throughout the season, all events will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and registration for all events is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Kicking off the Kids’ Events roster is a Beach Party on January 14th. Then continuing on with Super Bowl Fun, on Saturday, February 4, Cannon will host football-themed games. First is the Extra Point Kick – field goals will be set up for competitors who want to test their accuracy and distance. Last is the Football Toss – kids can work on their aim by throwing a football at a target; if they get a hit, they get a prize.

February 11 is Cannon’s Mardi Gras Costume Cookie Race. All kids who dress up for the slopes will get treated with a cookie at the end of the race. On February 25, is a fun Cookie Race. The race is made up of kids’ obstacles, and at the finish line all the kids get a cookie.

Kids can search for their Pot of Gold in the Shamrock Rally just after St. Patrick’s Day on March 18. On March 25, Cannon will host a Scavenger Hunt for treasure-seekers.
