Okemo’s Parrothead Party Scheduled for October 12th
LUDLOW, Vt. – Columbus Day weekend is the last chance for skiers and riders to purchase an Okemo Mountain Resort season pass at discounted, pre-season prices. It’s also the date of Okemo’s Parrothead Party. Winter sports enthusiasts can say goodbye to summer on Saturday, Oct. 12 with a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, and say hello to winter with the purchase of a season pass before rates go to full price.
Island breezes will blow as The Cocabanana Band, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, takes to the outdoor stage for a free concert at Okemo’s Jackson Gore base area. Margaritaville moves to Vermont as Okemo’s culinary staff renders some frozen concoctions to accompany summer’s last cheeseburger in paradise. They’ll even help find that lost shaker of salt, plus beer, wine, soft drinks and barbecue items fresh from the grill. Okemo’s 7th annual Parrothead Party starts at noon with the music of the Great White Caps, followed by the Cocabanana Band at 2 p.m.
Starting Oct. 15, all of Okemo’s season pass products go to full price. Season passes are a great way to save on lift tickets and avoid ticket-window lines with direct-to-lift access. Okemo’s Sunday One-Day Season Pass is a great “starter” pass for weekend day-trippers and it is priced right at $399 for adults, when purchased by Oct. 14. On the other end of the spectrum, Okemo’s Ultra Pass is the top-of-the-line offering. This completely unrestricted pass is valid every day of the season. It includes added-value benefits such as first-tracks lift access and discounts on lessons, rentals, culinary and more. The Ultra Pass, priced at $1,599 for adults, when purchased by Oct. 14, includes access to the lifts at Okemo, Mount Sunapee, N.H., and Crested Butte, Colo. Okemo’s Millennial Pass for 19-29 year-olds returns this year. Okemo understands it’s tough making the transition from college to career in these financially trying times and the Millennial Pass is valid seven days a week, including holidays, at Okemo and Mount Sunapee, with no blackout dates. The best part is the price – only $619 when purchased by Oct. 14. Several additional season pass options offer a season-long solution for every budget and lifestyle.
