WDST Mountain Jam at Hunter Mountain June 3-4
HUNTER, New York ??” Hunter Mountain and WDST 100.1 Radio Woodstock are pleased to announce the second annual “Mountain Jam”– a weekend-long music festival to be held June 3 and 4 beside the slopes of Hunter Mountain, featuring a lineup of over 20 performers on two stages, overnight camping on Hunter Mountain grounds, and two days worth of song and celebration just 30 minutes from the epicenter of live music — Woodstock, New York.
Featured bands and artists to perform at this year’s Fest include 2004 veterans Gov’t Mule, Robert Randolph and the Family Band and Medeski, Martin and Wood, plus newcomers Michael Franti and Spearhead, Mike Gordon and Ramble Dove, Keller Williams, John Brown’s Body, DJ Logic, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Benevento-Russo Duo, The Wood Brothers, Shannon McNally, Benzos, Joey Eppard and The Trapps. A complete lineup of performances will be announced as the concert date nears.
The elevation of this year’s Mountain Jam to a weekend-long event is due in part to last year’s success. “Last year’s event was a huge success, the music, the setting, it was spectacular, we couldn’t have had a better day,” according to Gary Chetkof, President and General Manager of Radio Woodstock. The famed radio station has joined forces with world-renowned guitarist Warren Haynes of the Allman Bros. and Gov’t Mule this year to co-produce the event. “Our new forged partnership with Warren Haynes and the expansion of the festival to a weekend event elevates the project to a whole new level and we look forward to the great possibilities this partnership will bring to Mountain Jam for many years.”
Mountain Jam tickets are $90 for a two-day pass when purchased in advance, and $115 for a two-day pass plus camping access on Hunter Mountain grounds, when purchased in advance. Prices increase beginning May 1. A one-day pass is also available.
