Pats Peak Offers Ski/Snowboard Clinics

HENNIKER, New Hampshire — Pats Peak invites adults to join a Ski/Snowboard Clinic ??“ the most cost effective way to learn with lots of attention on individual development. The program is offered one day a week for seven weeks starting the week of January 8, 2007. The cost is $209 for a full seven-week program, lift, lessons and lunch. For accomplished skiers and snowboarders a skiing and lunch only option is available for $159. Start time is 10:00am. After a morning on the slopes, members of the group relax with their instructor and enjoy a healthy lunch buffet.

On Wednesdays, women can participate in the WOW, Women’s Only Wednesday, Program. Women start the day off at 9:00am by enjoying a continental breakfast and an exciting morning discussion, designed specifically for women. Discussion topics include: skiing/snowboarding fears and risk factors, yoga, skiing/riding exercises, nutrition, strength & power, stance and balance, physical and psychological gender differences, confidence building, equipment and boot fitting, and video analysis to enhance basic skills and improve personal skiing/snowboarding. After discussions, participants head out onto the slopes for on-hill clinics taught by women only. The day ends with a delicious lunch with instructors, allowing students and instructors to discuss their morning on the slopes. The cost is only $269 for a full seven-week program, lift, lesson, morning discussions, continental breakfast and lunch.

Skiers/Snowboarders are welcome to sign up at the Pats Peak Ski School Desk to “Try our Program” for a daily fee of $50/day for the Adult Ski/Snowboard Clinic and $60/day for the WOW Program.

“This is a great program for retail associates, hospital employees, law enforcement, restaurant personnel, mothers and retirees who have a midweek day off. They can choose a weekday that first their schedule the best allowing them to get out on the slopes at least once a week improving their ability and endurance”, says Bertie Holland, Ski School Director.

Program rental equipment options are available. Children whose parents are participating in the Adult Clinic can join the Cub’s Club Child Care at Pats Peak.
