HENNIKER, New Hampshire — Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s premier snowsports destination, is hosting the 7th Annual Childhood Cancer Lifeline fundraiser on March 17 & 18, 2007. This event promises to be a fun-filled weekend, full of activity and promise. This is a great opportunity to enjoy spring skiing and support New Hampshire families who have children with cancer.

Pats Peak will donate a portion of the full-day and evening lift tickets purchased and a percentage of all food sales to the NH based non-profit organization. Raffles, Childhood Cancer Awareness Pins along with tickets for the Sunday evening event will be available for purchase during the weekend. On Saturday, there will be two live bands playing in the Sled Pub with Ryan Thompson performing from 12 to 5pm and Fiddle Player Brendan Carey Block and Friends performing from 5 to 10pm.

On Sunday, live bands will begin playing in the Sled Pub starting at 12pm with daytime performances by a variety of great bands including:

12 to 12:45pm: Matt Boshar
1 to 1:45pm: Flat Tire Blues
2 to 2:45 pm: Jackie Lee & COD
3 to 3:45 pm: Otis & The Elevators
4 to 4:45 pm: Skip Philbrick Band
5 to 5:45pm: Kan-Tu Blues Band

Sunday evening’s events kick off at 3pm, with a live and silent auction, raffles, dinner and music by Roxanne and the Voodoo Rockers, a popular blues band. All the bands performing throughout the weekend are guaranteed to get people on the dance floor. Tickets for the Sunday evening event are $20 per person or $30 per couple. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Pats Peak Skier Services Desk, by calling Pats Peak at (603) 428-3245, the day of the event in the Main Lodge or at the door. This event continues to be the most successful fundraising event for the Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire.

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire has a special relationship with Pats Peak. Chef Guy Pelletier, who joined Pats Peak in May of 2000, has two children who are cancer survivors. Guy’s wife Sylvia is a founding member and current President of this over ten-year old organization. The Lifeline continues to be the only organization dedicated to empowering NH families whose children have cancer by providing them with financial assistance, resources, and most importantly — hope.

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline of NH was founded in the fall of 1995 by a group of parents whose children had childhood cancer. Since their inception, they have been a strictly volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the practical and emotional needs of New Hampshire families dealing with pediatric cancer. Today, their volunteers have expanded to include family members, friends, and other caring individuals. The mission is to empower New Hampshire families who are coping with childhood cancer by providing knowledge, resources, assistance, and hope.
