Cannon Mountain Opens Friday

FRANCONIA NOTCH, New Hampshire — Cannon Mountain will kick off the 2007-2008 season on Friday, November 23, 2007. The mountain plans to offer terrain for all ability levels for the weekend. Skiers/riders will find man-made and natural snow conditions on groomed and ungroomed terrain. Cannon has received over a foot of snow since Friday.

Cannon Mountain Snowsports School will offer limited instruction, and childcare will be available at Brookside Learning Center. The slopeside High Performance Tuning Center and the Cannon Mountain Retail Shop will be open, as well as all other services.

Cannon will also offer a reduced rate for skiing/riding this weekend. Lift tickets rates will be available for $30 for adults and $20 for teens, juniors, and seniors. Cannon??в„ўs lift ticket rates for the winter are $60 for adults, $42 for teens and $32 for juniors and seniors any day. Non-holiday Tuesdays and Thursdays are still two-for-$60 and non-holiday Wednesdays are NH Resident??в„ўs Day for $25.

Season passes may be purchased at the Sales Office in the Peabody Base Lodge and online at www.cannonmt.com. Season passes are a smart buy for anyone planning on skiing or snowboarding more than 10 days of the season. Other great savings include the Bold & Beautiful Midweek Pass for $269, offered with Bretton Woods. The New Hampshire Breakout Pass for college students is just $229 for the season, good for skiing/riding at Cannon Mountain, Mt. Sunapee Resort, and Gunstock. And, New Hampshire teachers can save with an Educator??в„ўs Pass for $399 that may also be used at Gunstock. Cannon also offers the 10-Pack, ten lift tickets for only $499. Gift certificates are available for purchase and make great holiday presents.

Cannon Mountain has 60 trails, 9 lifts, and terrain for all ability levels. Cannon has the longest vertical drop with the highest lift-served terrain in New Hampshire.
