FAYSTON, Vermont — In an age where one can find nearly anything skiing-related with a simple Google search, one segment of the skiing universe has too long found itself without a permanent place of www residence. Mogul skiing, though oft mentioned on many different websites, has never found itself in a place of prominence online. One year ago, an avid mogul skier set out to fill this gap and began developing the world’s most comprehensive online guide to all things mogul skiing.

With the focus of today’s ski instruction being on alpine racing and carving, and many young peoples’ focus stuck on terrain parks, mogul skiing has fallen by the wayside. It is again seeing some growth, and mogulskiing.net is at the forefront of this rediscovery of the sport among recreational skiers.

“When I was learning to ski moguls, I looked all over the internet for a good resource. I was disappointed in the utter lack of available information,” muses mogulskiing.net founder Patrick Torsell. “Several thousand bump runs later, I decided that I would take it upon myself to put something together. All I want to do is share the sport that I love with the entire world, and help anyone who’s interested in the sport to reach their goals in the moguls. Mogulskiing.net has truly been a labor of love, and I just hope that it helps a few people enjoy mogul skiing a little more,” Torsell adds.

With a primary goal of creating an appreciation for and understanding of mogul skiing, mogulskiing.net offers mogul skiers??”both recreational and expert??”a resource that includes an extensive, inclusive technique guide, misconceptions debunked, tips from pros and coaches, photos, videos, news, equipment reviews, info on the hottest ski areas for mogul skiing, a variety of linked mogul skiing resources, and an online forum community for discuss anything and everything mogul-related.

This new website illustrates how any skier can learn to become a proficient mogul skier if he/she is willing to put the time and effort in to learning the appropriate techniques. It demonstrates how basic skiing techniques can be applied directly to quality mogul skiing, and equips an aspiring skier with all of the knowledge and information needed to reach a mogul skiing epiphany.

The website’s development began in Spring of 2006. Found at www.mogulskiing.net, the site was launched for public access on November 30th, 2007. Additional site development is expected to continue, and additional features and pages will be added over the coming months.
