Recent test runs by local and international-level competitors elicited unanimously positive reactions to the brand new courses built specifically for this event. The finished product has been called nothing short of fantastic. Designed and built by passionate riders, the courses have been cleared of downed trees, branches, large rocks and debris, and weed-whacked with top-level racers in mind. Sturdy bridges and other structures have been perfectly positioned on and over trails. Highly skilled and knowledgeable course designers and builders, both paid and volunteer, came together to create the best mountain bike race courses the East has ever seen.

The East Coast Nationals begin on Thursday, July 10, with downhill and dual slalom inspection and training. On Friday, July 11, inspection and training continues for the downhill course, followed by qualifying races in dual slalom. All categories of races will be held on Saturday and Sunday, including cross country, downhill, super downhill, and 4X dual slalom. The pro short track races make a big finish on Sunday afternoon.
