Olympic Jumping Complex to Host the Fstival of Ireland August 30-31

LAKE PLACID, New York — Aiseiri Productions will present The Festival Of Ireland (An Fleadh Na Eire) at the Olympic Jumping Complex August 30-31.

This Irish festival features dancers, musicians, food, drink, games and more from 12 pm ??“ 8 pm on Saturday, August 30, and from 11 am ??“ 6:30 pm on Sunday, August 31. An Fleadh Na Eire is a festival not only celebrating Irish culture, heritage and music, but one of its main purposes is to expose this wonderful culture and ancient heritage to those interested. This is the first time a festival of this kind has been held in Lake Placid.

The headline band is Searson from Canada. Renowned harpist Martha Gallagher, Irish piper Michael “Piper” Cooney, Celtic Grace Irish Dancers and much more entertainment will comprise the musical lineup. An Fleadh Na Eire will have something for everyone, with plenty of lovely food and drink, world class music and dance, Irish clothing and gift merchants and local merchants presenting Adirondack goods and wares.

Other activities will include Tug-O-War games, keg lifting, hay bale throwing, and Irish storytelling. There will be fun and excitement for young children who can join in the Irish costume contest, face painting, and treasure hunts for people of all ages to enjoy. All of this merriment will take place against the backdrop of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains.

Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (65 and over) and students (12-17). Children 12 years and younger enter for free. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the event at the Olympic Jumping Complex.
