Belleayre Surprises Holiday Visitors with 2nd Half Season Pass
HIGHMOUNT, New York — President’s Week has been off to an exciting start with an announcement to guests that the mountain will be offering an exceptional discount for those who plan on continuing to ski and snowboard at Belleayre. The 2nd Half Season Pass promotion is now on sale and offers visitors a 2008-2009 Seasons pass starting at half the original price. The value continues to grow, as the 2nd Half Season pass price drops through the month of March and promises a 10% off discount on next year’s Season pass. “I want guests to have the option of becoming Season Pass holders up until our final day,” boasts mountain Superintendent Tony Lanza. Belleayre hopes this will welcome visitors to adopt the Belleayre Experience as a fun family tradition, making it more affordable than ever. If the 2nd Half Season pass isn’t enough of an incentive to check out Belleayre Mountain, an additional promotion for the visiting kids of Belleayre introduces a new twist in getting the family on the slopes. “Bring your Parents Skiing” begins on February 16th for all overnight guests staying at participating Belleayre Lodging Association hotels. Kids under 14 who buy a Belleayre ticket can redeem a free Adult’s pass for the day; Children ages 1-13 will be charged a youth rate and children ages 13-14 will be charged for a junior’s rate.
The weekend of Saturday, February 21st will be a chance to continue savings at Belleayre. The Mountain offers a chance for guests to “Donate and Save” with three goodwill events. All weekend “Scouting for Food” booths will be located in the outside ticket locations at the Discovery, Overlook Lodge, and Tomahawk ticket booth, collecting food donations as an Eagle Scout project to benefit the local food pantries of Phoenecia, Margaretville, and Roxbury. Receive a $5 off coupon for a Belleayre Mountain lift ticket with your dry or canned food donation, redeemable at any point for the rest of the 2008-2009 winter season.
The Denis Germain Race, honoring a brave firefighter who perished in 9/11, will be held on Saturday, February 21st, beginning at 10:30am on Lower Yahoo. Registration in the Garden Room will run from 8am-10am; all proceeds collected, entrance fees and further donations, will go directly to the Denis Germain Scholarship Fund. For the first 200 people who spend $25, Belleayre will donate one $25 promotional lift ticket per person, giving participants a lift ticket, race entrance and an event t-shirt. Helmets are required for the race and the Awards Ceremony will begin at 3pm in front of the Overlook Lodge.
Sunday, February 22nd Belleayre will be hosting “Save a Pet” Day in cooperation with the Catskills Humane Society. For the first 200 guests who donate $10 or more to this organization, Belleayre will offer coupons for a $25 promotional lift ticket for the 2008- 2009 season. The Humane Society will also be raffling off two tickets to a Ranger’s Ice Hockey game in March 2009. Be sure to visit the “Save a Pet” tables in the Discovery and Overlook Lodges to make a donation and see adoptable pets that guest can bring home right away.
Belleayre Mountain is continuing to inform all guests about its Local Business Midweek BOGO Deal, continuing the mountain’s efforts to provide affordable opportunities not only to benefit skiers and riders but the local economy as well. Belleayre’s recent cooperative effort with the Ulster County, Delaware County, and Central Catskill Chambers of Commerce as well as the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association was a remarkable success. Belleayre is excited to announce the launch of the Midweek Local Business BOGO that will be good through the rest of the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season. From now through the end of the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season, midweek skiers and riders are encouraged to bring any receipt for $50.00 or more for a purchase of goods or services made between now and to the end of the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season at any local businesses that are members of the Delaware County, Ulster County, or Central Catskills Chambers of Commerce, or the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association and Belleayre will sell the customer a midweek Buy One Get One Free ticket to return any midweek day during the 2008-2009 ski season. (The first lift ticket must be used the same day that it is purchased. The second ticket may not be redeemed the same day.) Customer Appreciation Day on March 13, is a remaining Black Out date. The package covers all ages from adult to toddler, but BOGO’s can only be redeemed for the same type ticket as originally purchased. In an effort to create continual area purchases, the package has been broken down into monthly redemption periods. Receipts for purchases in February must be presented in February to be honored, and so on for March.
