About the Artists

Gregory Douglass’s evocative, alternative sound has been compared to Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright. His numerous accolades include being a finalist for both the 2005 International Songwriting Competition and the 2004 Independent Music Awards; he was the winner of the 2003 GrammyFest Awards in New York City, as well as the inaugural performer on the American Red Cross ‘Save A Life Tour’ in 2003. With seven critically acclaimed, independent CDs under his belt, Douglass has shared the stage with artists like They Might Be Giants, Shawn Colvin, Jason Mraz, Regina Spektor and Margaret Cho. Douglass’ latest full-length studio album BATTLER, features duets with friends and fellow Vermonters Grace Potter (Grace Potter & The Nocturnals/ Hollywood Records) and Anais Mitchell (Righteous Babe Records).

Myra Flynn is opening for Gregory Douglass and is a singer/songwriter hailing from central Vermont. Her live shows blend indie soulful vocals with an engaging stage presence and a down home folk feel. Myra’s vocal stylings have been compared to the likes of Erykah Badu, Adele, Leela James, and Norah Jones and she counts Joni Mitchell among her lyrical influences. She has since opened for Ivan Neville, Alexa Ray Joel, Slick Rick, and Lee “Scratch” Perry. Last summer was busy one for Myra – she was named “Best Up-and-Coming Performer in Vermont” by Seven Days in July and “New England Artist of the Month” by The Deli Magazine.
