A season of change at Sugarbush
WARREN, VT ??” This Sunday is it??¦ FORE the rest of the year. The Sugarbush Golf Course will begin its winter hibernation after the sun sets this Sunday October 24th. Rounds at the Robert Trent Jones, Sr.-designed course have remained even with last season despite it having rained 58% of playable days. This compared to news that many golf courses throughout the region have reported a significant decrease in rounds played. The Resort says business boomed when the weather cooperated.
“The rain was a bit of a challenge, but overall we are very excited about the success we experienced at the course this summer and fall” said Sugarbush Resort president Win Smith. “When the skies allowed, we were busy from the first tee time until sunset.”
Even as Sugarbush is winding down its summer activities, winter operations are ramping up. The Resort plans to start blowing snow a week from this Monday with Mount Ellen expected to open on November 20th. Work on Mount Ellen??в„ўs new gladed terrain will be completed in the coming weeks.
