New Year’s Eve at Jiminy Peak

HANCOCK, MA ??” Jiminy Peak will host 1st Run 2005 on New Year’s Eve, Friday December 31st. Festivities will include a torchlight parade that will commence shortly after the close of the lifts at 10:30 pm. The parade will be on the 360 and 180 trails and will include skiers and riders from Jiminy Peak skiing and riding down the mountain lighting up the night with lights. The parade will be visible for spectators from the base area of Jiminy Peak. Immediately following the parade will be a fireworks display by Alonzo Fireworks.

Other activities around the mountain that evening include a limited edition dinner at Founder’s Grille Restaurant in the Country Inn from 5 pm – 10 pm. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (413) 738-5500 ext. 3780. Christiansen’s Tavern will host their annual New Year’s Eve celebration from 9:00 pm – 12:30 am that will feature champagne and hot chocolate at midnight and a live DJ. There is a $5 cover charge and those under 21 must be accompanied by and adult.

Jiminy will operate for skiing and snowboarding from 8:30 am – 10:30 pm on New Year’s Eve under Weekend/Holiday pricing. 8-hour start anytime lift tickets are $52 for adults, $46 for teens, and $36 for juniors, and seniors. 4-hour start anytime lift tickets are $48 for adults, $42 for teens, and $32 for juniors, and seniors. Twilight tickets valid after 3 PM are $34, and 4-hour night tickets are $30.
