Kids Ski and Stay Free at Attitash During January
BARTLETT, NH ??” January is an opportune time for a family getaway and Attitash has made it more affordable to take children to the slopes. During the month of January, Attitash will be offering special enticements including free skiing, riding, lodging, and lessons for children 12 and under.
“We’ve always had a strong focus on active families,” said Nathan Waterhouse, director of the Attitash Perfect Turn Ski and Snowboard School. “Skiing and Snowboarding is a bond that brings friends and family together in the outdoors. Our January specials will make it even easier to spend that quality time.”
From Jan. 3-31 excluding the Martin Luther King Weekend, families reserving a 3-5 day Ski and Stay Package will, in addition to free lodging for kids, receive a free 3-5 day lift ticket for kids ages 6-12 per adult and one half-day kids Perfect Turn Program per adult.
Lodging is at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, which offers slopeside convenience – a major time-saver for families, plus amenities including year-round heated outdoor pool and spa, fitness center, massage therapy, daycare, game room, and dining at Crawford’s Pub and Grill. Some restrictions do apply and more information is available at attitash.com or by calling (800) 223-SNOW.
Kicking off the month for families, the Next Snow Search event on Sunday, Jan. 2 brings kids age 9-13 together to compete for prizes and chance to go to the national finals in Keystone, Colo. Winners are judged on skiing or riding ability and star power in this event, which is a unique combination of X-Games meets Star Search.
The family fun continues at Attitash during the month of January including the kick-off of the 40th anniversary celebration at months’ end and the Junior Snow Reporter Search running from Jan. 5-11, which gives kids age 10-14 the chance to cut their own snow report and have it featured on Attitash.com. More information about the 40th anniversary and the Junior Snow Reporter Search are available online at Attitash.com/40 and Attitash.com/kidssnowreport.
