JAY, VT ??” Vermont isn’t just for vacations anymore. Citing a rare mix of geographic, lifestyle and financial reward, Governor Jim Douglas has arranged for a series of seminars to help showcase the benefits of Vermont business expansion and relocation. Jay Peak Resort, located in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, will host the first event on Sunday January 16th. Resort president Bill Stenger welcomes the opportunity to show entrepreneurs the benefits of doing business in Vermont.

The seminar will kick off at 3:00pm in the Jay Peak International Room (IR), and last until approximately 4:30pm. Governor Douglas will be joined by Lt. Governor Brian Dube, Secretary of Commerce and Community Development Kevin Dorn, President of the Vermont Employment and Development Authority (VEDA) Jo Bradley and the Commissioner of Economic Development Michael Quinn. The group will discuss topics ranging from business related tax advantages and state-sponsored loan policies to building and construction opportunities and relocation processes.

While there is no fee to attend the event, pre-registration is required. Refreshments, beer and wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Special 2-for-1 lift ticket pricing will also be available for those registering for Sunday’s seminar.
