NEWBURY, New Hampshire ??” Mount Sunapee Resort will once again host a qualifier for the Sports Illustrated for Kids Next Snow Search. Next Snow Search is a quest to find the neXtreme generation of skiers and riders. Now in its second season, this incredible event for kids ages 9-13 (born between 1991-1996) is the first of its kind to offer an all-mountain, all-equipment, all-person snowsports competition where style, attitude and personality are as important as one’s skill level.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges to represent Mount Sunapee at the televised national finals at Keystone Resort in Colorado on February 10-13, 2005. The Mount Sunapee winner will receive, along with one parent or guardian, four nights lodging, a four-day lift ticket, up to $500 travel voucher, admission to all Next Snow activities and other related events at Keystone Resort.

The finals of the Next Snow Search will be televised nationally on NBC, on March 5, 2005 from 2:00-3:00 pm EST.

Each Mount Sunapee entrant will need to submit a one-page essay on “Your Coolest Day on Snow” prior to competition by e-mail to [email]info@mtsunapee.com[/email] or mailing to Mount Sunapee Resort, Next Snow Search, PO Box 2021, Newbury, NH 03255.

Registration will take place in the Spruce Lodge between 8:30-9:30 am with the competition beginning at 10:00 am after a brief introduction. Entry fee will be $10 and does not include lift ticket.
