HANCOCK, Massachusetts ??” The Women’s Winter Escape program at Jiminy Peak offers women the opportunity to improve their skiing or snowboarding and meet new friends in a relaxed social atmosphere. The program is run by Edith Root, a SKI Magazine Top 100 instructor with tremendous experience coaching women’s skiing. The regular program is a six week program that runs from the beginning of January to the middle of February. For those interested in such a program, but unable or unsure about making a six week commitment, the Women’s Winter Escape instructors will host four dates during the month of March with special one day clinics. Women may sign up for just one or all four dates. The dates are Tuesday, March 1st, Wednesday, March 2nd, Tuesday, March 8th and Wednesday, March 9th.

Classes will be divided into small groups, based on ability level and desired lesson focus. Lesson possibilities include challenges such as bumps and steeps, improving turns, learning how to snowboard and more. The groups will ski with their instructor over the course of the day, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. Lunch is included, and post-clinic free-skiing is encouraged! Pre-registration is required. Please call the Ski School Desk at phone to (413) 738-5500 ext. 3270 to pre-register. Cost for one session is $75, for two sessions is $140, for three sessions is $210, and for all four sessions is $240.
