2006 Childhood Cancer Lifeline Weekend at Pats Peak Sets New Record
HENNIKER, New Hampshire ??” CCL Weekend at Pats Peak raised just under $17,000 this year, setting a new high for the event, and insuring much needed support for NH families whose children are battling cancer.
We extend our profound thanks to Pats Peak, for their continued enthusiastic support and incredible generosity. In addition to the $10 donation on each all day lift ticket, The Peak added on a percentage of all food sales and $2 on each POP ticket to their donation.
Equally as amazing as the financial support from The Peak was the willingness of The Peak employees to assist us. Many employees donated their time, effort and creativity to make the success of this event possible. As a small, all volunteer organization, pulling off an event of this magnitude would have been impossible without their assistance. We extend our heartfelt thanks to them.
In addition to Peak volunteers, John Mann of Roxanne and the Voodoo Rockers arranged for the performances of all our amazing bands. We owe John our continued thanks for taking this role on again this year. The bands who performed not only donated their time and talent, they donated their tips and made personal donations.
The success of this fundraiser was due in large part also to the support of the community. Volunteers Tim Fortier, Rita Blanchard, Amy Patenaude, Erin Martin and Steph Osborne were vital in the procurement of auction items and donations. We could not have done it without each and every one of you. From the businesses, which donated items, to the people who turned out at the event, we both saw and felt your desire to assist families in a time of need. Thank you.

More about the Childhood Cancer Lifeline of NH
The Childhood Cancer Lifeline of NH was founded in the fall of 1995 by a group of parents whose children had childhood cancer. Since their inception, they have been a strictly volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the practical and emotional needs of New Hampshire families dealing with pediatric cancer.
Today, their volunteers have expanded to include family members, friends, and other caring individuals. The mission is to empower New Hampshire families who are coping with childhood cancer by providing knowledge, resources, assistance, and hope.
You can find out more about the organization on their website: www.childhoodcancerlifeline.org
The Childhood Cancer Lifeline of NH holds a special place for Pats Peak. Chef Guy
Pelletier, who joined Pats Peak in May of 2000, has two children who are cancer
survivors. Guy’s wife Sylvia is a founding member and current President of this
special organization.
The Lifeline continues to be the only organization dedicated to empowering NH families whose children have cancer by providing them with financial assistance, resources, and most importantly, hope. The organization is run solely by volunteers, and has twice won the Governors Award for Outstanding Volunteerism Efforts by a Statewide Group.
