October 4, 2011 – The annual Fall Festival will take place this coming weekend, October 8th and 9th at the Overlook Lodge, Belleayre Mountain. The 32nd year of this classic fall event promises to be more exciting and entertaining than past festivals. As always, the Fall Festival will feature the prestigious Craft Fair showcasing local artisans, the Uber Winter Equipment & Apparel Sale for great discounts on skiing and riding gear for the coming season, the Sky Ride to whisk people to the summit for spectacular views of the Catskill foliage, music & entertainment, traditional German Oktoberfest Food, an expanded Fair Food Court, kids tent and much more. The festival will take place from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission and parking are free!
In addition to the sale of season passes, Belleayre will again be offering the $99 3-packs of Anytime Tickets to our patrons. These will only be available in person, at the Festival with a limit of two 3-packs per family. ID is required.
Visit the Belleayre Booth for information on summer and winter programming, volunteer positions for the upcoming season and job opportunities. The Belleayre Job Fair will be held on October 22, 2011 from 1pm to 5pm at the Discovery Lodge.
On Sunday, October 9th the Catskill MTN Velo Club is holding a benefit ride to help purchase new bikes for children of flooded and low-income homes of the Catskill Region. This fundraiser will be held on the same day as the Belleayre Fall Fest & Craft Fair, so after ride be sure to stay and shop for gifts, goodies, food, and drinks. Registration is $30, but additional donations are welcome the morning of the event. All proceeds will go toward new bikes and helmets to kids who either lost their bikes in the recent floods that hit the Catskill Region, or those who are unable to afford them. Parking and registration will be in the Overlook Lodge Tomahawk Parking lot. You can register at BikeReg.com www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=14311 .
