6th Annual Octoberfest at Pats Peak Kicks Off the Winter Season
HENNIKER, New Hampshire — Pats Peak, New Hampshire’s premier snowsports destination, announces its annual Octoberfest in conjunction with the Pats Peak Ski Club Ski and Snowboard Sale on Sunday, November 2, 2008. The Octoberfest celebration is from 11am to 6pm with the Ski and Snowboard Sale from 11am to 3pm. It’s one of the biggest Octoberfest celebrations in the State of New Hampshire, which includes authentic German food, live music from King Ludwig’s Bavarian Band, chairlift rides, kids’ activities, woodsmen show, NH Cowboy Mounted Shooting Demo and rich decorations to put guests in the spirit. Harpoon Brewery sponsors the event. Admission is Free to this event.
“This is a great kick off event to get excited about the winter season. Skiers & Snowboarders can get ready for winter with new equipment at the sale and then relax at a fun Octoberfest celebration,” says Kris Blomback, General Manager of Pats Peak. “Even if you don’t ski, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy a superb party.”
The annual Ski and Snowboard Sale is an opportunity to buy and sell new and used ski and snowboard equipment with a portion of the benefits going to the Pats Peak Ski Club, a non-profit organization benefiting junior alpine racers. Drop off times for equipment to sell are from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 1, 2008 and again on Sunday, November 2, 2008 from 8am to 10:30am. The sale hours on Sunday are 11am to 3pm.
Sunday, November 2, 2008 is the last day to purchase Pats Peak Season Passes for up to a $50 discount. After the event, the price for an Adult Powder Pass Club Season Pass goes to $489 from $439, and the price of a Junior Powder Pass Club Season Pass goes to $389 from $339; Adult Unlimited Season Pass goes to $419 from $379, and the price of a Junior Unlimited Season Pass goes to $329 from $289.
