9th Annual New England Winter Sports Clinic for Disabled Veterans
NEWBURY, New Hampshire ??” For some men and women, service in the country’s military exacts a lasting cost, disabilities that will shape the rest of their lives. Yet, in the spirit of hope and renewal, many of these veterans insist on pursuing their lives with all the vigor and enthusiasm they can muster. Now, with a new generation of disabled servicemen and women returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan, New England Handicapped Sports Association (NEHSA), continues to provide assistance by which these veterans’ recreational interests and needs can be realized. By insuring that state of the art equipment is available, NEHSA personally fits adaptive equipment to each skier or snowboarder so that his or her experience “on -snow” will be safe, exhilarating and FUN. The schedule for this four-day event includes on-snow ski and snowboard lessons, introductions to other adaptive techniques, team ski races, and a closing Awards Banquet. Please join us at the Mount Sunapee Resort, as the VA New England Health Care System and all of us at NEHSA host the ninth annual Winter Sports Clinic for Disabled Veterans, January 9-13th, 2006. Come and witness the triumph of the human spirit!
ABOUT NEHSA

Located at Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, NH, NEHSA has given countless hours of hope and determination to those with disabilities. Amputees, as well as those with neurological degenerative disorders, traumatic brain injuries, developmental delays, blindness and all spectrums of autism, have found resources at NEHSA which provide them with a new outlook and sense of accomplishment as they adjust to a life with disabilities and rise to a new level of achievement. For many, the possibilities become realities. They have discovered a new purpose.
