Halcottsville, NY – Alta Log Homes will host a “log-raising” event on Saturday, July 30 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in Halcottsville.

The log-raising will be the official start of a commercial building that Alta is constructing on a parcel about a half-mile south of the company’s offices on Route 30. The day’s festivities will include a complimentary barbecue and other refreshments.

The public is invited to stop by and obtain a firsthand view of Alta’s unique log home building system. The log structure will be made weather tight within a few weeks and the interior will be “finished to suit” any type of business that commits to becoming a tenant.

“The parcel is commercially zoned and has a high-exposure location on Route 30,” explained Alta Vice President David Mann. “We are happy to configure the interior of the building to accommodate any particular business needs.”

Mr. Mann said the commercial building will be two stories and will offer 2,350 square feet of space.
The log-raising is being held in conjunction with the first annual national Log Cabin Month. The event is designed to showcase the many advantages provided by log structures.

Alta Log Homes, which is marking its 40th year in the industry, is a leader in innovative building techniques. Much of the company’s success can be attributed to Alta’s proven leadership in smart building methods.
