BARTLETT, New Hampshire ??” Local and regional charitable organizations will be on the receiving end of upcoming events at Attitash as part of the resort’s 40th Anniversary celebrations. Skiers and riders who hit the slopes during the 40 Days and Nights of Attitash will be aiding a local food bank, the Conway Area Humane Society, the American Red Cross, the Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation, and the Genesis Fund. A complete listing of 40th anniversary events, ticket deals and entertainment is available at www.attitash.com/40.

“Pets need a food drive too,” said Roz Manwaring, executive director of the Conway Area Humane Society. “On Tuesday, February 15th folks who bring three or more pet food items will save $10 of their lift ticket that day. Whether you’re on one plank or two, it’s a great way to help out our four-legged friends.”

The first benefit day will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 1 when $5 from each full price lift ticket will go to the Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation. The Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation provides support to cancer patients so that they can focus on the challenges of battling cancer and not worry about the indirect financial burdens that often arise.

On the weekend of Feb. 5-6 Attitash, comedian Lenny Clarke, movie and television celebrities and New England sports heroes join forces to raise money for the Genesis Fund, which assists children born with birth defects, mental retardation and genetic diseases.

Next on the 40th calendar giving back to the community is a food drive on Tuesday, Feb. 8 where guests can bring three or more non-perishable food items and save $10 on their lift ticket for that day to benefit local food banks.

On Feb. 15 is the Conway Area Humane Society pet food drive, followed by the American Red Cross Ski Day on Tuesday, March 1 when $5 from every full price lift ticket goes to support the American Red Cross.

Other happenings over the course of the 40 Days and 40 Nights of Attitash include two for $40 ticket deals, free Learn to Ski or Ride clinics, kids ski free Fridays and numerous on-mountain events. Guests are urged to visit www.attitash.com/40 for the most up to date information.
