Summer Operations Scheduled To Open For Long Memorial Day Holiday Weekend

Bartlett, NH – Attitash Mountain Resort will open summer & fall operations on the Memorial Day Weekend beginning Saturday, May 26 at 10 a.m. Recognized as one of New England’s original, summer fun ski areas when the Alpine Slide, still the longest lengths in North America, first opened to the public on July 1, 1976, Attitash has added many more summer attractions at the base since that time including the newer Nor’Easter Mountain Coaster.

Similar in concept to a “roller coaster” where riders are seated in carts that travel on a very smooth pair of rails elevated off the ground, the Mount Washington Valley’s longest mountain coaster at Attitash, with a total ride length measuring 4,300 feet, climbs and then descends down through the wooded terrain utilizing natural gradients of the mountain. A single ride ticket costs only $15 or is included in the higher priced day ticket rates. Shirts and shoes are required to ride and children must be at least 3 years of age to go on the ride. Ride restrictions also include an age minimum of 9 years old and height requirement of at least 52 inches tall to ride alone or one rider must be 16 years old for two people to ride on a cart.

Also unique to Attitash Mountain Resort, the opening Memorial Day Weekend starts the season for lift-serviced, downhill, mountain biking on a network of 27 designated trails that Attitash has continued to develop and maintain for summer & fall mountain bike use. Attitash has over 20 miles of mountain bike trails including the more difficult and technically challenging lift-serviced downhill trails and 8 cross-country trails more suited to all abilities including those just beginning to discover mountain biking as a recreational activity.

The Nor’Easter Mountain Coaster, Alpine Slide, Mountain Biking, Eurobungy Trampoline, and 24-foot Climbing Wall will be open as weather permits for weekends only (including the Memorial Day Monday) at reduced day ticket rates beginning Saturday, May 26 and then will begin to operate daily Saturday, June 16 at regular ticket rates when the Waterslides, Buddy Bear’s Playpool, Scenic Chair Sky Ride, Horseback Riding and hand-led Pony Rides along the Saco River become available. Summer season passes are now on sale and begin as low as $99 for the mountain biking only pass. Mountainside lodging is available at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel featuring quality accommodations, year-round heated outdoor pool and spas, fitness center, massage therapy, and casual dining at Crawford’s Pub and Grill. All rates and information can be found online at attitash.com or by calling 1-800-223-7669.
