Belleayre Introduces ‘Kids Ski Free, Stay Free’ for Children 17 and Under

HIGHMOUNT, New York — The Belleayre Ski Center, in partnership with the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association announces the age for ski free, stay free package has been raised to children under 17 at a participating hotel, motel or bed and breakfast with the purchase of an adult lift ticket. Book your accommodations at any participating BRLTA member and your child stays for free and skis for free at Belleayre. Just present your stamped, hotel voucher at the ticket window. Something else that’s new at Belleayre during January, every Wednesday, we will be offering skiers and riders $20 lift tickets and $10 rentals. And that’s not all! This Wednesday promotion will lead up to our Winter Festival Week the end of January culminating with $20 lift tickets and $10 rentals all week from January 25th through January 29th.

This Saturday is Scout Day. Scouts and their immediate family members will ski for $34 per person. Rentals are just $23. All you have to do is bring a valid Scout ID to any ticket window. All Scouts are entitled to a free, any level group lesson with the purchase of their lift ticket. Ski racers can show their skills on the slopes while helping worthy causes this weekend. On Saturday, January 9th, Belleayre Mountain and the Country Cutting Gallery Relay for Life Team are joining forces to bring a fun event benefiting the American Cancer Society. All the proceeds go to the Country Cutting Gallery Relay for Life Team. All levels and abilities are welcome, skiers and snowboarders alike. Pre-registration is required and limited to the first 200 applicants. The cost is $25 per person. For more information or to register call (845)586-3311.

On Sunday, January 10th, the annual Alzheimer’s Race to Remember will be held. This is a NASTAR Giant Slalom race sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association of the Hudson Valley and Clear Channel Radio. Cost is $25 per person, which includes the race fee and lift ticket. Advance reservation is required by calling the Alzheimer’s Association at (800) 872-0994. If you do not pre-register, the cost to race is still $20 at the registration table and does not include a lift ticket. Registration will be held in the Overlook Lodge between 8 and 10 a.m. The race starts at 10:30 a.m. and medals will be awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in ten categories (best of two runs). The Pine Hill Arms race series is underway again every Wednesday at Belleayre with registration beginning at 11 a.m. The cost of the 10-week series is $55 payable to the Pine Hill Arms. Following the races, video of the day’s event along with snacks and drink specials will be offered at the Pine Hill Arms. To participate, contact the Arms at (845) 254-9811 or pick up your entry form on the mountain at the Guest Services desk in the Overlook Lodge.

And mark your calendar for the 7th Annual Taste of the Town for the benefit of the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association on Monday, January 25th at the Discovery Lodge. This year’s theme will be “Murder on the Mountain”, a murder mystery dinner. Cost of the event is $30 per person.
