Belleayre Mountain Continues Effort to Stimulate Local Business with a Midweek BOGO
HIGHMOUNT, New York — Belleayre Mountain, aware of the tough economic times, is sensitive to the needs of the market place. With this in mind Belleayre is proud to announce its continuing effort to provide affordable opportunities not only to benefit skiers and riders but the local economy as well. Belleayre’s recent cooperative effort with the Ulster County, Delaware County, and Central Catskill Chambers of Commerce as well as the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism was a remarkable success. Belleayre is excited to announce the launch of the Midweek Local Business BOGO that will be good from January 20 through the rest of the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season.
From January 20 through the end of the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season, midweek skiers and riders are encouraged to bring any a receipt for $50.00 or more for a purchase of goods or services made between January 20 and the end of the 2008-2009 skiing and riding season at any local businesses that are members of the Delaware County, Ulster County, or Central Catskills Chambers of Commerce, or the Belleayre Region Lodging and Tourism Association and Belleayre will sell the customer a midweek Buy One Get One Free ticket to return any midweek day during the 2008-2009 ski season. (The first lift ticket must be used the same day that it is purchased.) Black out dates are January 26-30 during $20 Winter Festival Week and the remaining Customer Appreciation Days, February 13 and March 13. The package covers all ages from adult to toddler, but BOGO’s can only be redeemed for the same type ticket as originally purchased. In an effort to create continual area purchases, the package has been broken down into monthly redemption periods. Receipts for purchases in January must be presented in January to be honored, and so on for February and March.
Belleayre Mountain is excited to announce that it’s time to celebrate winter again with Winter Festival Week from January 24-January 31 with the annual Taste of the Town, the Snowball and, of course, $20 midweek lift tickets. The Kids Carnival and Torchlight Ceremony will kick off the celebration on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Build a snowman (weather permitting) or compete in the obstacle course outside the Discovery Lodge from 12:00pm to 3:00pm for prizes and giveaways. The festivities will then move to the Overlook Lodge from 4:30pm to 5:30pm with a pizza party and entertainment. After that, Belleayre Mountain’s finest skiers and riders will create a beautiful display which will snake down Yahoo toward the Overlook Lodge for the Torchlight Ceremony starting around 5:45pm. DJ Wavy Davy will be rocking the Overlook Lounge on Saturday, January 24. In an effort to make skiing and snowboarding accessible to the masses and stimulate the local economy, Belleayre Mountain will be offering $20 lift tickets during Winter Festival Week from Monday, January 26 through Friday, January 30, 2009. This promotion cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.

Winter Festival week ends with what is always the premier event of the season, the 23rd Annual Snowball. On January 31, 2009 the Coalition to Save Belleayre cordially invites you to attend this benefit for the Belleayre Music Festival. This year the Spirit of the Catskills award will be presented to US Congressman Maurice Hinchey for his work representing the Catskill region in the House of Representatives. This event will include dinner, live music from Special Delivery, and an entertaining and commemorative presentation about Maurice Hinchey.
