Denis Germain was a firefighter in the FDNY, L-2 who lost his life in the Sept. 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. As an avid skier and race coach at Sterling Forest Ski Center, his family wanted to keep Denis’ memory alive, and it was fitting to hold a memorial race at his home mountain of Sterling Forest. After Sterling closed it’s doors, Belleayre Mountain offered to host the race, hoping to make the event as successful a fund raiser as possible. Come on out and race for a good cause.
