BRETTON WOODS, New Hampshire — As Bretton Woods Mountain Resort, New Hampshire’s largest ski area, continues the momentum of growth and record-breaking success, the readers of SKI Magazine are taking notice of the resort’s growing reputation for excellence.

This year Bretton Woods took several honors in SKI Magazine’s annual Resort Reader Survey, appearing in the October 2006 issue. At number 10 for Overall Satisfaction in the East, Bretton Woods guests will “??В¦delight in what may be the best views in the East and some of its finest ski-resort lodging.”

Renown for its family-friendly atmosphere, Bretton Woods placed fourth in North America for Family Programs. In response to the increasingly popular family programs, a $500,000 expansion project of the Bretton Woods Family Center (Hobbit Ski and Snowboard School and Babes in the Woods Nursery) is slated for completion in time for Christmas 2006.

Bretton Woods was also ranked nationally in the number 10 spot in North America for its famed grooming. Of the noted Eastern resorts, Bretton Woods took top honors for weather and placed second in the East for Scenery. Snow, Service, Weather, On-Mountain Food, and Lodging all ranked in the East’s top 5.

“Media recognition is always a good barometer of how well we are doing,” observed Resort Marketing Director Candra Canning. “Journalists are responsible for informing readers fairly and accurately. But the SKI Magazine ranking represents a consumer poll of 6,000 magazine readers. We are pleased to have done so well in those important categories.”
