To kick off the demo, Burton will host a free on-snow jam session on Friday, February 23th for riders of all ability levels looking to throw down their rail riding skills in a non-competitive atmosphere. On-site registration will run from 10-11am in the Tubing Room at near Cobblestone Village at the Vernon base. The event will start at 11am and will be held in the Main Park at Vernon. Great prizes and giveaways will be provided by Burton.

For skiers and riders who are interested in a more competitive venue, Mountain Creek will also set the stage for the USASA supported Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series, February 24th. This slopestyle competition will be held for riders trying to increase their point totals en-route the 2006 USASA Nationals in Northstar at Tahoe, CA. While skiers will not be competing for the Nationals, they are encouraged to join in the event.

The series will include a slopestyle competition held on Independence Trail on Saturday, February 24th. Participants may pre-register at www.active.com or register the day of the event in Tubing room located at the Vernon Base area’s Cobblestone Village from 7:30-8:30am.

A $25 entrance fee is required and Mountain Creek will offer discounted lift tickets to all competitors. Individuals who would like to join in this event must also be a USASA member and may sign up for temporary memberships online at www.snowboardseries.com.
