NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — With school ending for the year and warmer temperatures in the air, now is the time to address the age-old question confronting parents this time of year: “What do we do with the kids?” Fortunately, Camp Cranmore kicks off in just a few weeks on July 7th for families looking for fun opportunities for their children ages 5-12.

While Camp Cranmore is well known for its weeklong sessions, it also welcomes kids to its programming on a daily “drop-in” basis. Said Camp Director Kara Ouellette, “We offer a great ‘rainy day’ option for vacationers to the Valley as well as local parents who want to give their children a place to run and play no matter what the weather.”

Camp sessions run 8:30am-4pm Monday-Friday, beginning July 7 and ending August 15. Daily rates are $65 per child for climbing camp, and $55 for all other camps. Children participating in camp for the entire week pay $279 for climbing camp or $219 for all other camps. Pre-registration is recommended for weekly camp, as sessions are selling out quickly. Drop-ins to daily camp are welcome, although pre-registration is recommended to ensure space. Exciting new core activities for this summer include nature camp, drumming and puppet making, along with the traditional activities of swimming, climbing, gymnastics and tennis. Each camper enrolls in a core morning activity and has a choice of two afternoon activities such as crafts, sports, music and natural science. Camp Cranmore staff includes climbing instructors from International Mountain Equipment, Red Cross Certified swim instructors and other sports experts.

Camp Cranmore will operate out of the 10th Mountain Pavilion building in the main base area of Cranmore. The air-conditioned facility will provide a large space for campers and easy drop-off and pick-up access for parents.
