NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire ??” Cranmore Mountain has recently announced that Cezar Ostrowski will head it’s newly formed freestyle team for the 05/06 season. Skiers and riders, based at Cranmore, will have the opportunity to train with first class snowboard and free-ski coaches to develop focused competitive talents beginning December 3.

Ostrowski, a 14 year ski and snowboard veteran, USASA level 2 Coach, and six-year snowboard instructor will head the program with Amber Marsh, Matt Burquette and John Garcia rounding the crew of coaches. Snowboarders and free-skiers will train with knowledgeable and focused coaches to develop skills necessary for local and regional competition.

Working with Loon Mountain head freestyle coach Luke Shelley, Cranmore has set plans for a competitive competition program consisting of 50% skiers and 50% snowboarders aged 8 – 15. “Luke has been a great resource in establishing the Cranmore team,” says ski and snowboard programs director Cesar Ostrowski. “He has worked with designing the very successful Northstar-at-Tahoe and Loon Mountain programs and is very familiar with what details are required for success.”

“With the growth of Cranmore’s park and the awesome job that all the Darkside park crew has done, the Freeride Team seems like it should be a blast,” says 14 year old Cranmore team member, Brian Sullivan. “With USASA and other local events, we should get a lot of chances to compete and visit other mountains over the winter. I am very lucky this new program is getting started…thanks to all the people at Cranmore!”

Sullivan recently won Loon Mountains Open Season Rail Jam on Dec. 3, and placed in the top ten for Thanksjibbing and Waterville Valley’s Premature Jibulation.
