NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — Visitors to Mount Washington Valley this upcoming long holiday weekend will be burning off turkey calories Cranmore-style at the North Conway resort’s Arctic Blast Tubing Park starting Friday, November 23. Plus the mountain’s Darkside Terrain Park crew will open the Lucky Loop Jib Park with hike-up access for skiers and snowboarders alike.

New Hampshire’s most popular tubing park will be open Fri. through Sun. from 9am ??“ 4pm with $18 tickets for all ages for 2 hours of tubing runs. The park will offer one lane of tubing and is lift serviced.

The Lucky Loop Jib Park can be accessed by a short uphill hike to the bottom of the Beginner’s Luck trail. There skiers and riders will find an assortment of rails, boxes and other features set up. The Lucky Loop rope tow will be in operation so skiers and riders can cruise the park repeatedly without any additional hiking necessary. The Darkside Crew will be distributing complilmentary lift tickets which are required to use the Park.

“Our snowmakers have done a superb job so early in the season to prepare for this holiday opening of both the tubing park and the Lucky Loop Jib Park,” stated Cranmore GM Ben Wilcox. “There is enough snow on Beginner’s Luck that there is even a wide lane beside the park that skiers can glide down all the way to the base after trying out the rails and other features. The tubing park is fully operational with a top to bottom tubing lane and the lower tubing lift operating.”

The Tubing Park will remain open Sat. and Sun. only until Christmas week when it is open special holiday week hours (see cranmore.com for schedule). Regular operating season hours are Thurs. 3-9pm, Fri. 9am ??“ 9pm, Sat. 9am ??“ 9pm and Sun. 9am ??“ 4pm. The Tubing Park is also offering a season pass this year for only $89 for all ages ??“ a great holiday gift idea.

Cranmore is opening for its 70th season with full operations on Sat. December 8, 2007. Happy Trails season passes are for sale now with prices increasing after November 30th. Passes can be purchased 7 days a week at the resort’s Ticket Haus or online at Cranmore.com.
