Cranmore Rings in December With An Array of Fun Festive Events

NORTH CONWAY, NH- This December, Cranmore is the place to be, with a host of fun family activities all month long. This in combination with over $7 million in improvements over the last 18 months makes the holidays extra special at North Conway’s hometown mountain. With the addition of the new giant swing and indoor adventure zone to the resort’s mountain coaster and tubing park , there are more activities than ever on top of all that great skiing and riding! Here’s a run down on what’s going on at Cranmore this December:

December 10, 2011 Welcome to Winter
The first 50 people to buy a lift ticket receive a goodie bag filled with Cranmore treats.

December 17, 2011 Nevado Demo
From 10am-2pm Nevado will be on property demoing the latest gear including skis, boots and board equipment.

December 25, 2011 Christmas Day – We’re Open!
Join us from 9-4pm for skiing plus our mountain coaster, giant swing, snow tubing and indoor adventure zone.

December 28, 2011 Fairy Tale Cranapalooza
This fun-filled event featuring face painting, s’mores, games with C-more the Penguin, live music and family entertainment. To complement Cranaplooza activities, Cranmore’s mountain coaster, giant swing and snow tubing park operate until 9pm, and the mountain remains open for skiing until 6pm. This week’s event features a Fairy Tale theme and will include a visit from some of Story Land’s most popular characters!

December 30, 2011 Monster Mash Ski & Snowboard Freestyle Competition
Freestyle competition open to skiiers and riders in the Darkside Terrain Park. Presented by RAMP Sports.

December 31, 2011 Cranapalooza New Year’s Party
Be part of Mount Washington Valley’s best family New Year’s scene, with this “super-duper” Cranapalooza, featuring children’s entertainment, live music from the Tugg Brothers and fireworks at 6:30pm.

All vacation week long in Zip’s Pub, Cranmore will be offering apres ski entertainment, with some of the valley’s favorite musicians, scheduled from 3-6pm in Zip’s Pub. Starting Monday, December 26th and running through Sunday, January 1 performers include locals Red Gallagher, Al Shafner and from Brunswick, ME, Pete Kilpatrick.

Cranmore’s snow tubing park , mountain coaster , giant swing and indoor adventure zone will operate extended hours for the holiday period, from Dec. 26-Jan. 1 til 9pm; on Jan. 2nd they are open until 4pm.

Cranmore is open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 9-4pm for skiing, tubing, mountain coaster, giant swing and indoor adventure zone (open at 10am) and tubing. Ski area operations during the holiday week from Dec. 26 – Jan. 1st are from 8:30am – 6pm. The extended hours until 6pm for the holiday week is a new addition to this year’s schedule at Cranmore and is included at no extra cost to all full day lift tickets purchased during the period.
