NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — This year, Cranmore will host a new New Year’s Eve event, called the Crantastic New Year’s Party. Taking place Wednesday, December 31, 2008, it is an all-ages night of skiing, riding, snow tubing, live music, family entertainment and more from 2pm until midnight. The event features double fireworks, at 7:30pm and again at midnight.

Crantastic New Year’s Party will provide visitors to North Conway, New Hampshire with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Some activities require a Crantastic party ticket while others are open to the public.

“Cranmore looks forward to hosting North Conway’s largest event for New Year’s Eve this year. We anticipate a big turn out and we expect it to be a night of family fun right up until the stroke of midnight,” stated Cranmore GM Ben Wilcox.

The all inclusive Crantastic New Years ticket includes unlimited skiing, riding, and tubing, unlimited time in the Fun Zone, a Crantastic Gift Bag and dinner at the Eating House.

Ages 13 and up: $69
Youth ticket (ages 6-12): $59
Ages 5 and under: complimentary skiing and snow tubing (for children 42″ and under) while with a paying companion; Fun Zone ticket may be purchased for $10. Reservations required for children under 5 along with a paying companion.

Threedom Passholders and Cranmore Happy Trails passholders receive a special $10 discount on their Crantastic New Year’s Party ticket (must be purchased in person at the resort – no online sales available with passholder discount).

Dinner at the Eating House as part of a Crantastic Party ticket includes a choice of appetizer, sandwich/entr?В©e, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. Food selections will include items such as pasta, pizza, pannini sandwiches, chowder, chili, chicken fingers, burgers and more.

Visitors may also purchase activities a la carte:
Cranapalooza lift ticket (valid from 2-9pm) $25
Snow tubing (2 hour ticket) $22
Fun Zone admission (2 hour ticket) $10

Cranmore’s main base lodge cafeteria will be open to the public until midnight serving a variety of food and beverages including hot cocoa and coffee, perfect for watching fireworks over the slopes. The Met Coffee House will also be serving their famous coffee outdoors in Cranmore’s Schneider Square.

All tickets may be purchased online at cranmore.com, in person 7 days a week at the Ticket Haus at Cranmore, or by calling 603-356-5544. A limited number of Crantastic New Year’s Party tickets are for sale so advance reservations are strongly advised. However, there is plenty of capacity for skiing, riding, observing fireworks and the bon fire. The resort also features lots of complimentary parking.

3:30 – S’mores with C-More and face painting in the Penguin Den
3:30-5:00 – Kid’s Concert with singer Marcus Gale.
4:30pm – Fun Zone Opens ((requires Crantastic New Year’s Ticket or paid Fun Zone admission)
5:00 – Prize Raffle in Schneider Square
5:30-7:30 – Everyone gets a balloon animal built by Mr. Phil and their face painted by Cedar Spitz.
5:30-7:30 – Live acoustic music by Bill Cameron.
7:30 – FIREWORKS
8:00-11:00 – Fun Zone Party with DJ Matt Spoffard (requires Crantastic New Year’s Ticket or paid Fun Zone admission)
8:00-12:30 – Rock the Eating House with The Chris Fitz Band – Admission to the Chris Fitz Band performance in the Eating House from 8-12:30 limited to Crantastic New Year’s Party ticket holders.
10:00 – Bonfire at the South Slope
11:30 – Count-down to midnight in Schneider Square
MIDNIGHT – FIREWORKS

A Crantastic New Year’s Ticket includes admission to Cranmore’s new indoor “Fun Zone” with a giant inflatable bouncy house, 65-foot two-person obstacle course and other fun activities for all ages. Also offered will be dodge ball, floor hockey, pre-school nook with games and activities and more.
The Fun Zone will be open Saturday nights and holiday weeks throughout the winter season from 4:30-9pm. Christmas Vacation week, the Fun Zone opens December 26, 2008 – January 3, 2009, with extended hours for New Year’s Eve.
