WILMINGTON, Vermont ??” Veteran Vermont ski industry executive David Dillon has been named President of Vermont’s newest ski and golf resort, Haystack Club. Haystack was acquired by 2Cornell, Inc., of Wilmington last year and will be revitalized and offered to the public as a private ski, golf and real estate community.

“We’re very pleased to have the opportunity to breathe new life into Haystack and this Vermont resort community and to have David bring together a dynamic team to make Haystack Club a reality,” said Haystack owner Bob Foisie. “It’s an exciting time for the community and for Vermont and we look forward to having someone of David’s experience help us forge ahead.”

For the past six years, Dillon has led Vermont’s alpine and Nordic industry trade group, the Vermont Ski Areas Association (VSAA). Prior to assuming the presidency of VSAA, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT. He also served as Director of Corporate and Investor Relations for S-K-I Ltd., the company which owned Killington and Mount Snow prior to its acquisition by American Skiing Company. In 2005, he was named Vermont Travel Person of the Year.

A native of Bennington, Dillon has also held leadership positions in the University of Vermont’s public relations department and served as Executive Assistant to the late Governor Richard Snelling. He will assume his new position in mid-February.
