Exclusive Deals and Special Events for Senior Skiers During GO50 Week at Sunday River
NEWRY, Maine — Exclusive deals, activities, and legendary snow await skiers and snowboarders over the age of 50 at Sunday River during GO50 Week Jan. 21-25, 2007.
Themed activities and entertainment will take place all week on and off the slopes. Guests can gain insider knowledge of the mountain during daily get-togethers with the Prime Time Club, a group of local seniors who will give mountain tours.
“This theme week has been gaining momentum in a big way,” said Caroline Ochtera, activity organizer for GO50 Week at Sunday River. “Two years ago there were 20 people signed up and last year we saw 200 folks hit the slopes together. This year should be even bigger!”
Evening entertainment includes a welcome social at the newly renovated Foggy Goggle apr??s ski bar, dinner specials at the Jordan Grand Hotel and Grand Summit Hotel, a sock hop, and a tour of the Snowflake Factory, where Sunday River’s legendary snow is made.
Special discounts are also available for skiers and riders over 50 during the week. Ski and Stay package deals are available from $239, which includes five days of skiing, five days of lodging, and daily Perfect Turn clinics. Ski and Stay rates are also available from $55 per night.
