Experience Dog Sledding at Attitash This Winter Season

BARTLETT, New Hampshire ??” This season Attitash is bringing dog sled rides to the Mount Washington Valley. The New England Dog Sledding Team out of Bethel, ME will be offering one hour guided tours in the Fields of Attitash.

Steve Crone, 11-year veteran of dog sledding and owner of New England Dog Sledding says, “This offers something exciting and fun to everyone and is very special family experience.”

The 6′ sled is guided by a “masher” (trained driver) and escorted by 4-5 Alaskan Huskies. Traveling at speeds of up to 15 miles per hour, teams will trot along the Saco River, through the fields of Attitash, venturing through woods and meadows around Attitash. Along the way riders will experience beautiful views of Attitash, the surrounding mountains, and Crawford Notch.

Daytime and evening rides are available by reservation only. Sled rides are $125 per sled and each sled can hold up to 3 people at a maximum of 320 lbs.

Attitash is in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on Rt. 302 in Bartlett. During the winter Attitash offers 2 mountains with 70 trails and 22 miles of skiing and riding on 280 acres. In the summer guests can enjoy North America’s longest Alpine Slides, waterslides, a scenic sky ride, lift-serviced mountain biking, climbing wall, Trampoline Thing, horseback rides, driving range and skate park.
