Family Fun Continues at Cranmore All Summer Long

NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — Now that the record-breaking snows have melted and families’ minds have turned to thoughts of summer vacation, Cranmore Mountain in North Conway today announced a full schedule of summer programs and events. Summer will feature returning favorites, like the Arts Jubilee outdoor concert series, plus new events like a warm-weather edition of Cranmore Comedy night.

Summer Camps at Cranmore
Camp Cranmore also returns this summer, offering kids ages 5-12 specialized camps including climbing, tennis, swimming, gymnastics and more. Camp Cranmore, located in one of New England’s most beautiful areas, is where kids can try out many different activities, plus select specific areas of interest. Camp staff includes climbing instructors from North Conway’s International Mountain Climbing School, Red-Cross certified swim instructors and other experts in their respective fields.

Camps are available for week-long and daily sessions. Daily sessions are a great rainy-day activity for visitors to the Valley, as activities can take place indoors in our large air-conditioned facilities if weather turns inclement.

$279/week, $65/day for climbing camp
$219/week, $55/day all other camps

Music, Concerts and Events
Cranmore has become known as the best place in the Valley to hear music indoors and out during the summer months. With its gentle grassy slopes forming a natural amphitheatre, Cranmore welcomes music fans to enjoy the unforgettable experience of live music outdoors in the mountains.

Saturday, May 24 – 7:30pm
Seacoast Wind Ensemble
Cranmore will be hosting the Seacoast Wind Ensemble indoors at in the 10th Mountain Pavilion during this Memorial Day Weekend concert honoring our military.

The Seacoast Wind Ensemble in the style of a Sousa Band, honoring area Veterans and providing a musical salute to thank those that served in the armed forces to preserve our nation and insure our freedom. A pre-concert preview presented by Music Director Rich Spicer, (formerly of New Hampshire Public Radio), will begin at 7pm.

Friday, June 20 – 4-7pm
Summer Solstice Biker BBQ
Celebrating Bike Week in New Hampshire, the first annual Summer Solstice Biker’s BBQ will feature area favorites Preface, playing a mix of rock, covers and originals, outdoors on the deck at the base of Cranmore Mountain.

Revelers can partake in an outdoor Beer Garden serving fresh local draught beer including Tuckerman Ale, and dig into BBQ fixings hot off the grill, including hamburgers, dogs, bratwurst, sauerkraut and more. No cover charge for participants in the MWV Chamber of Commerce’s Mountain Motorcycle Adventure Week.

Friday, July 11 – 8pm
Cranmore Comedy Night
Enjoy the raucous comedy of Boston’s Mike Viselli, plus two special guests, at this encore performance of Cranmore’s popular Comedy Night. The show will be followed by an Elvis Impersonator and disco dance party. This show was a sell out last January so advance ticket purchase is recommended.

Maine State Ballet returns to the stage at Cranmore.

This is the traditional Symphony Pops concert followed by spectacular fireworks.

Weekends in October
The Ghoullog
North Conway’s only mountain-top haunted house returns for its second year, promising to scare you silly with a night-time chairlift ride to the summit.

Ghoullog event dates are Thurs. 10/2 – Sat. 10/4; Fri. 10/10 – Sun. 10/12; Fri. 10/17 – Sat. 10/18; Fri. 10/24 – Sat. 10/25; and Thurs. 10/30 – Sat. 11/1.
