Hunter Mountain Receives Long Awaited Powder Day with 10″-12″ of Fresh Snow

Hunter, NY – A slow and steady snowfall began on the evening of December 26th and continued throughout the night bringing ten to twelve inches of snow to the slopes of Hunter Mountain. As of 9 am on Thursday, December 27th the snow is still falling steadily.

Skiers and snowboarders can finally put to rest the mild winter of last season as they enjoy the first powder day of the 2012/2013 season. With the consistent snowmaking temperatures of the previous week and the new snowfall, Hunter has been able to expand their available terrain very quickly.
