Free Skiing to Celebrate Longest Season in East at Bretton Woods

EDITOR’S UPDATE (5/4/2006): Bretton Woods is shutting down for the season tomorrow, Friday, May 5, 2006. The mountain we will be offering free skiing all day and a BBQ on the deck from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

BRETTON WOODS, New Hampshire ??” Continuing its tradition of record-breaking seasons, Bretton Woods Mountain Resort will close this Sunday, May 7, 2006, with the longest skiing and riding season in the East. To celebrate the accomplishment, Bretton Woods will offer its loyal fans FREE SKIING & RIDING on closing day. A barbeque lunch on the slopeside deck will be available from 11 am to 2 pm on Sunday.

After hitting the slopes on Sunday, golfers can head to the Mount Washington Golf Course and enjoy 2-for-1 golf, with cart, with a valid Bretton Woods lift ticket from that day. Early season rates are at $50 for 18 holes of golf through May 26, 2006.

Skiers and snowboarders anxious to take the first turns of the season were able to do so starting November 12, 2005. On May 7, 2006, 177 days later, two trails will provide skiers with their final turns of the season.

“After a fickle weather year, we are happy to still be able to offer skiing and riding into the month of May,” says Bretton Woods Director of Operations Chris Ellms. “Our commitment to the ski product and to the satisfaction of our guests continues to be our number one goal.”

With the conclusion of skiing and riding, plans are already underway for improvements to Bretton Woods Mountain Resort for the 2006/2007-ski season. Snowmaking capabilities continue to be a focus, reinforcing the Resort??в„ўs reputation for the best snow quality in the East.
