Ghoullog Halloween Haunt Opens Columbus Day Weekend at Cranmore, North Conway
NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — After months of ghoulish planning and conniving, the fiends and goblins have worked their magic and the haunted summit mountaintop tour at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway, NH is ready to open. Starting Friday, October 5, daring visitors can walk the grounds and take the chairlift to the summit of the mountain for the fright of their lives.
The tour starts in the Eating House building at the base of Cranmore Mountain and includes a ride on the Quad chairlift to the 2,000 foot summit of Cranmore, where visitors tour the Ghoullog. The haunted happenings at the summit are sure to frighten and surprise the hardiest souls and will end with a lift ride down to the base, featuring spectacular nighttime views of the Mount Washington Valley.
Running Friday and Saturday nights starting October 5 through October 27, plus Sunday October 7, the Ghoullog opens its gates at 6:30pm with tickets available from 7-10pm. The attraction is recommended for ages 10 and up and parental discretion is advised.
Visitors are advised to purchase tickets in advance at Cranmore.com, as tours will sell out. Tickets can also be reserved by calling (603) 356-5544. Only a limited number of tickets are sold each night. Advance tickets are $20 per person and tickets at the door are $22.
Cranmore will offer a Children??в„ўs Halloween Party for 4-9 year-olds, where kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to the Party and enjoy games, craft activities and non-scary movies and cartoons. The Halloween Party costs $5 per child and takes place on the same dates as the Ghoullog from 7pm to 9pm.
The Ghoullog activities take place both indoors and outdoors at Cranmore Mountain. Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and the chairlift ride. Operations are weather dependent so call ahead or visit their website to confirm hours.
