Glide into Spring with Ski Vermont’s ‘Nordic March’
Nordic Ski Areas and Fischer Sports Partner to Promote XC Skiing
MONTPELIER, Vt. – The experience of Vermont’s winter woods is like no other. That is why Ski Vermont-with support from their official Nordic partner Fischer Sports – is hosting ‘Nordic March’ – an entire month dedicated to promoting cross-country and backcountry skiing in Vermont.
Vermont is home to thousands of kilometers of tracked and untracked Nordic and backcountry skiing. For casual cruisers, classic racers, backcountry enthusiasts and competitive skaters alike, Vermont is a haven and the historical focalpoint of Nordic skiing in North America. Nordic skiing is also a terrific way to learn to slide and glide, with less gravity, and at very affordable prices.
Throughout ‘Nordic March’ Ski Vermont will highlight on its Facebook page Nordic events and deals and conduct a series of contests that encourage the exploration of Nordic ski areas throughout the state.
Contests will include opportunities for elementary and middle school students who log the most kilometers to win a mid-week skiing trip for their classroom at Trapp Family lodge (maximum of 35 participants); a writing challenge with opportunities to win backcountry lessons; and trivia and other fun contests for chances to win gear from Fischer.
Visit the Ski Vermont Facebook page to join the fun of ‘Nordic March.’
