International Ski Dancers Coming to Loon and Waterville Valley
LINCOLN, New Hampshire ??” Twenty members of The International Ski Dancing Association will travel through New England to share ideas for their new sport and entertain guests at five ski areas from January 24 to 30.
The troupe will include Japanese Ski Dancing Champions Mariand Hiro Shimuchi, Charlesand Cheryl Malfetti of Rhode, founders of the International Ski Dancing Association and several other couples whowill represent their countries of origin.
“We want to show our Japanese friends the gems of New England skiing. We decided on five areas that offer superb conditions and places where people are assured of having a great time,” says Charles Malfetti.
Loon Mountain, in Lincoln New Hampshire, will host the ski dancersonJanuary 27.On January 28, the ski dancers will twirl and glide under the lifts at Waterville Valley.
“We love the way theskiers and riderson the chair lift cheer and clap their poles together in appreciation,” says Malfetti.
“We consider the five areas we’re visiting the best of the best. We always have a quality experience at all of these mountains and the snow making and groomingare the finest in the East,”comments Cheryl Malfetti. “We’ll be offering our members the best experience possible andwill welcome comments from spectators who view us during the Festival.”
