Jiminy Peak Announces New Hire and Promotions for Winter ???08/09
HANCOCK, Massachusetts — Jiminy Peak welcomes Jason Shepard as Children’s Program Manager. In his role, Shepard will oversee the SKIWee and Explorer’s Programs in the SnowSports School at the resort. Jiminy’s Children’s Programs are nationally ranked and taught over 9,000 children last season. During the summer season, he is the Assistant Golf Professional at Berkshire Hills Country Club. Shepard graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Sports Management & Marketing. He is originally from Florida and currently resides in Lenox, MA.
Paul Fogel has been named Manager of John Harvard’s Restaurant and Brewery and will be part of the management team for Boston Culinary Group at the resort. Fogel will oversee daily operations at the restaurant. Fogel has been at the resort since 2004, with previous management experience at Mountain Sports by Potter Brothers.
Michael Noyes has been promoted to Director of Volunteer Ski Patrol for the resort overseeing a staff of 80 volunteer patrollers. Noyes has served as Assistant Director under Rik McClave since 2000. McClave retired this season after 41 years at the resort. Paul Descauteau has been named Assistant Director of Volunteer Ski Patrol. David Benoit will serve as Director of Professional Ski Patrol.
